Ingredient sourcing — FAQ
Can I choose which ingredients go into my product?
Catalogue formulas ship as reviewed — flavour, colour and shape can be personalised, but the formula itself stays fixed. Ingredient, dosage or active changes are Formula Adaptation: an existing DAT Supply formula, adapted through a fixed-fee development stage, with production quoted after approval.
Where do the ingredients come from?
Actives are sourced through the DAT supply chain against each formula’s specification, and the declared content is set in the product specification. Supplier CoAs, raw-material certificates and third-party testing are available where required and agreed for the project.
How are ingredient claims handled on pack?
On-pack wording follows the permitted claim set for the specific nutrients in the formula, in the market you sell in. Claim wording is reviewed against the formula before the specification is confirmed — an ingredient page describing an active is not a claim your label can automatically carry.
What does an ingredient page on this site tell me?
Each entry is a formulation reference: the forms the active is used in, format suitability, formulation notes and the catalogue formulas that already carry it. The commercial next step — formats, samples and ordering — runs through the private-label catalogue.
Need a formula around a specific ingredient?
Tell us the active, the markets you sell in and the positioning angle. Your DAT Supply account checks it against the right framework — claim wording is reviewed for each market.
