The honest version. A gummy is a delivery format with real limits, and a manufacturer that runs several formats has no reason to talk you into the wrong one.

Where you start

Start from a catalogue formula, as it is or adapted

Two routes into a gummy line. Most brands start on the left of this and only move to Formula Adaptation when a catalogue formula needs a different active, dosage or ingredient.

Formula Adaptation production starts from 3,000 units per SKU.

Production

How a gummy batch runs

What physically happens to your formula, in order. Every parameter named here is set in the specification and judged on samples before the batch runs.

  1. Step 01

    Slurry and active dosing

    The gelling system is prepared and the active stack is dosed into it against the reviewed specification. Heat-sensitive actives are assessed for the gummy process during the brief, before anything is committed.

  2. Step 02

    Depositing and setting

    The slurry is deposited into moulds and left to set. Shape, unit weight and fill are properties of the mould and the deposit, which is why they are confirmed as part of the specification rather than changed later.

  3. Step 03

    Curing and finishing

    Set gummies are cured, then finished. The finish — coated or uncoated — is part of the formula specification and is judged on physical samples before production, not described on a page.

  4. Step 04

    Filling and batch release

    Finished gummies are filled into the agreed pack, and batch documentation is released by stage. Standard production lead time is approximately 8 weeks after formula/specification, artwork and payment are approved. Shipping/transit is additional.

Documentation by stage, not on day one

Each document is released to the brand owner at its project stage. A Certificate of Analysis or independent lab testing is available on request.

EU & UK regulatory posture

Production is reviewed against the EU and UK food-supplement frameworks: NRV-based labelling, EU Regulation 1924/2006 claim wording and notification scope are checked per project before artwork is locked. Importer, responsible-party and customs responsibilities are confirmed for the applicable order and destination.

What is the minimum order quantity for private-label gummies?

Private-label gummy orders start from 1,000 units. Formula Adaptation production starts from 3,000 units per SKU. An approved flavour, colour or shape is configured on the order at the same unit price.

Can I order gummy samples before committing?

Yes. Order Ready Samples of catalogue gummies, or a Personalization Sample in your chosen flavour, colour or shape where the product offers one, to confirm taste and texture before you start a full gummy order. Finished packaging is chosen on the order.

Are vegan gummies available?

Yes — all DAT Supply gummies are pectin-based, which is plant-derived and vegan-positioned, subject to formula and claim review for the market you sell in. DAT Supply does not offer a gelatin gummy base.

When is a gummy the wrong format?

When the per-serving active load is the point. A gummy carries less active per serving than a powder format, so greens, electrolyte, collagen and creatine concepts are usually built as sachets instead. DAT Supply offers both, so the format is a product decision rather than a supplier decision.
