Once access is approved, submit each client project as it comes in. A catalogue order configures straight from the product page; a Formula Adaptation or a Custom Project is started the same way as when a client comes to us directly.
Stay in the loop through formulation, packaging and documentation review — or hand off once the project is placed.
Client projects that change the actives, dosage or ingredients of a reviewed catalogue formula are scoped as Formula Adaptation — a fixed-fee development stage, then a production quotation. A genuinely new formula is a Custom Project.
A packaging or design studio is commissioned for artwork, product naming and label design — the standard private-label branding work behind every launch — alongside the finish a project carries. Those choices look complete on a design file but only actually resolve once they're checked against what a manufacturing partner can produce and pack, so a studio's project scope depends on staying in step with that production reality rather than discovering late that a finish doesn't translate the way the artwork implied.
A supply-side relationship closes that gap directly. Instead of the studio and the manufacturing side working from separate briefs that can drift apart mid-project, the branding and production decisions run against the same catalogue and the same documentation, so the finished product matches what the artwork promised.
That trade-off shows up most clearly at the sampling stage, where a studio can see whether a finish or colourway actually reads the way the artwork intended, rather than discovering a mismatch only once a full production run has already been committed.
Two shapes fit packaging and design work. A referral: the studio hands its design direction to the client's production project and steps back once the brief is placed. A co-managed project: the studio stays involved through sampling and production to confirm the finish and printed artwork match the design intent, which is often the shape that protects a studio's own creative work through to the shelf.
Both shapes follow the same underlying route: a brief, then samples, then production. Personalisation on an existing formula runs within a defined boundary — approved flavour, colour and shape choices — while artwork, product naming and label design sit outside that boundary entirely, as the standard private-label branding process every project carries regardless of the formula chosen. A change touching actives, dosages or claims becomes Formula Adaptation (a fixed-fee change on an existing DAT Supply formula) or, for new claims or new development, a Custom Project the studio should flag before finalising artwork.
Whichever shape a studio chooses, partner access is requested once. Every referred design project afterwards is scoped and submitted on its own, so a studio working across several clients isn't re-approved each time.
A packaging project goes smoothly when three things are settled before the design brief is sent over to the production side.
That depends on the shape chosen: a referral hands the project to production after the brief, while a co-managed project keeps the studio across sampling and production to confirm the finished artwork matches the design.
Yes — the route runs brief, then samples, then production, which gives a studio a physical sample to check colour, finish and printed artwork before committing to a full production run.
Flavour, colour and shape choices on an existing formula sit inside personalisation. Anything touching actives, dosages or claims moves into Formula Adaptation (a fixed-fee change on an existing DAT Supply formula) or, for new claims or new development, a Custom Project instead.
No — artwork, product naming and label design sit outside personalisation entirely. They're the standard private-label branding process every project carries, independent of which formula a client chooses.
The client, as brand owner. The studio can check artwork against the product documentation provided at each order stage, but final label and market-compliance responsibility stays with the client.
Request partner access once. From there, each design project is submitted individually, scoped against its own branding brief, whether the studio refers it or stays involved through production.
Partner access is reviewed by the DAT Supply team — set up once, then refer or co-manage as many projects as you bring. Commission terms are confirmed at approval; we do not publish a standing rate.
